The population of european bison in Ukraine today

The intensive rearing of the European bison in Ukraine began in 1965. Ten populations are totaled here for today. During the period from 1993 to 2000, the number of animals was reduced from 664 to 489. The main reason of this reduction is migration, which also favorable for increases of the influence of poaching.
