Heavy metals as the component of oil pollution

The influence of oil pollution on the amount of heavy metals in soil and Carex hirta L. and Vicia faba L..plants was investigated. There was no direct connection between model oil pollution and heavy metals increase in soil. The concentration of heavy metals in oil polluted soil, did not significantly differ the control. Carex hirta pants growing on the oily soil contained significantly higher concentrations of heavy metals in aboveground part than the control ones.
