Influence of industrial pollution on elements of anatomic structures of shoots of maples

Histological components of annual shoots of maples are sensitive to the effects of industrial emissions. ̉he thickness of the individual elements varies under the influence of toxicants in comparison with controls. Increasing the size of the primary and secondary bark is considered how to adapt to the effects of sulfur, nitrogen oxides and heavy metals. The indicators of thickness of parenchyma and solid bast can be used as diagnostic in the analysis of the polluted area.
