The contribution of professor Anthon³ Reman to the phytogeographical and bryological studies in South Africa

In the course of his two expeditions to South Africa in 1875–1877 and 1879–1880 Dr. Antoni Rehman carried out not only florictic studies on seed plants, mosses and lichens but also broad phytogeographic, orographic, hydrographic, climatic, ethnographic observations, mostly for the first time this kind of research in this region.
