Rare plant species of the Ingul river valley and objectives of their conservation

The results of the investigation of rare plant species of the river Ingul’s valley of different levels of conservation (regional, national, international) is given. It was found that on the legislative level 97 species of vascular plants are protected. 45 species are recorded into the Red Data Book of Ukraine, 38 of them certainly grow in the research area; the presence of the rest 7 species of them is questionable. Also 39 species are recorded into the Red List of Kirovograd region, 18 – into the Red List of Mykolaiv region, 5 (1 – doubtful) – into the Berne Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats, 39 – into the IUCN Red List, 148 – into the European Red List. 13 species of vascular plants was proposed to recording into a new edition of the Red List of Kirovograd region; 32 species – into the Red List of Mykolaiv region.
